Care: Water regularly being careful not to over water. Apply slow release fertilizer at the time of planting or use a water-soluble fertilizer every 3 weeks. Discontinue fertilizer 6 weeks prior to first frost.
Propagation: Sow directly into the garden after last danger of frost or start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks prior to last frost. Sprinkle seeds over soil or potting mix and leave exposed. Moisten the soil and keep moist but do not over water and make soil soggy. Transplant 3-4 weeks after sowing.
