Soil needs: Well drained, moist and nutrient rich soil.
Care: Sit established plants 12" -18" apart. Very easy to grow.
Propagation: Sow indoors 5 - 7 weeks prior to last frost or direct sow into garden after last frost.Sprinkle seeds over soil mix and cover to a depth of 1/16". Thoroughly moisten soil and keep moist throughout germination. Soil should not be soggy.Transplant to garden when all danger of frost is gone.
Uses:Fresh or dried Basil is used as a seasoning. Add leaves to salalds or use as a garnish. Can be used to sooth upset stomach, reduce fever and indegestion. Attracts bees.
